How to Register a Google Account

Introduction to Google Account (Gmail)

Google is a leading global technology company. As of November 2024, Google’s parent company has a market capitalization of 2.18 trillion US dollars, while Baidu’s market capitalization is only 31.1 billion US dollars. Google was founded in 1996 by two Stanford graduate students, Larry Page and Sergey Brin. They developed a new search engine based on web links and founded Google Inc. in 1998, initially operating out of a garage. Today, Google’s services are no longer limited to search engines; they also include advertising services, email, Google Drive, Google Docs, Android system, Chrome browser, Google Maps, YouTube videos, Google Gemini, Google Pixel phones, Google Blogger, Google Voice, Google Sites, and more. The key is that all these services can be accessed with just one Google account (Gmail)! Due to content censorship, Google withdrew from the Chinese market in 2010, which has caused great inconvenience for users in mainland China when using Google services.

How to Register a Google Account

1. Tools Required

  • VPN tool
  • Google Chrome browser
  • Chinese mobile number (for receiving SMS)
  • Common email address (QQ Mail or 163 Mail)

2. Operation Procedure

  • Downloading and using a VPN tool

A VPN is a software that connects to external networks. It can bypass firewalls, enabling our phones or computers to access external networks. For example, domestic mobile users cannot access youtube.com, facebook.com, tiktok.com, etc. These are internationally renowned websites that require a VPN to access in China. Anyone in China involved in foreign trade or cross-border e-commerce will use a VPN. There are many similar software on the market; here we recommend using: v2box.pro

  • Google Chrome browser Simply search for “Google Chrome” on Baidu, and you’ll see many results. However, many are fake software, so do not download from those. We recommend downloading from Tencent Software Center here: https://pc.qq.com/detail/18/detail_21258.html
